adopted by ACTR Board of Directors on November 13, 2021
ACTR
welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and identities, including
race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, family composition,
sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, ability,
citizenship, and other identifiers. ACTR
is committed to the values of diversity, equity, access, and inclusion.
As an organization that serves to educate and broaden the horizons of
teachers, students, and the wider public, ACTR recognizes the
importance of addressing social inequalities in the classroom and
beyond. We therefore place diversity, equity, access, and inclusion at
the center of our organization's mission. We will be intentional in our
efforts to understand, respect, and appreciate the breadth of
experiences and perspectives of our members and the communities in which
they serve. We acknowledge the need for more diverse perspectives in
our classrooms and we support colleagues in their efforts to present
and foster an appreciation of the rich diversity of the Russophone
world.
