ACTR Community Values
adopted by ACTR Board of Directors on November 13, 2021, modified and approved by the Executive Committee on April 19, 2025
ACTR welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and values the distinct experiences and viewpoints that each person contributes. This includes, but is not limited to, variations in cultural background, religious tradition, economic circumstances, family structure, personal history, abilities, and life experiences.
ACTR is committed to fostering a welcoming and respectful environment. As an organization that promotes education and cross-cultural understanding among teachers, students, and the public, we believe it is important that all participants feel recognized and supported. Our mission includes working to expand opportunities and encourage open exchange of ideas in educational settings and beyond.
We aim to engage thoughtfully with the wide range of perspectives represented in our membership and the communities they serve. We also support educators in exploring and sharing the richness of the Russophone world, helping learners gain deeper insight into its cultures, histories, and contributions.
