"Open" Nominations from the ACTR General Membership

Members not currently on the Board or not nominated by a Board member by the December 1 deadline  may nominate themselves or someone else from the general membership. Please, follow this procedure: 

  • Familiarize yourself with the Board Candidacy Rubric.

  • If nominating yourself, submit the candidate form and upload any supplementary materials by the deadline for the current year as indicated in the timeline for nominations. Solicit five (5) letters of support (see below). 

  • If nominating someone else, please contact them and, if they agree to be nominated, ask them to fill out the candidate form and to upload any supplementary materials by the deadline for the current year as indicated below. Write a letter nominating your candidate. Solicit 4 more nominators, either signing your nomination letter or writing separate letters (your choice). For this pathway, the nominators do not have to be current members of the Board.
Five (5) letters of support from members of ACTR in good standing are required of all nominees from the general  membership under "open nominations." Letters of support need not be lengthy, but should speak to the candidate's strengths as relevant to the Board Candidacy Rubric.
