Dear colleagues:

I hope the year 2026 brings you many uplifting moments, fresh opportunities, and plenty of reasons to feel encouraged as it unfolds.

I would like to invite you to our annual online general membership meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, February 11, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM EST. 

I would also like to remind you that by registering for this meeting, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the ACTR Anti-Harassment Policy. 

I am truly grateful for your continued engagement and contributions to ACTR’s activities. We hope that your students will be able to participate in our annual Olympiada of Spoken Russian, which will take place in various regions between February and the end of April 2026, as well as in the Post-Secondary Russian Essay Contest in February 2026.

We also invite you to nominate your strongest students for the Russian Scholar Laureate Award -- for the secondary level by the end of June and for the post-secondary level by the end of February -- and to recommend students for our undergraduate summer internship (application deadline February 20).

We are looking forward to seeing you at the general membership meeting and the future events (webinars and teachers' lounges).
